
/ Scott Lemke
Since founding Lemke Law, Scott has appeared on behalf of clients at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Divisional Court, the Ontario Court of Appeal, and the British Columbia Court of Appeal.
Scott has extensive litigation experience including cases considering breach of contract, oppression, fiduciary duties, derivative actions, and breach of trust. In his election law practice, Scott regularly advises bodies responsible for the administration of elections on the processes and methods for conducting elections, including the use of vote counting equipment and e-poll books, the administering of vote-by-mail programs, the management of logic and accuracy testing, and various election finance matters.
Outside of the office, Scott sits on the board of directors for New Beginnings, a federally registered charity that supports young women and children in need of assistance, including housing, education and workplace mentorship.
Scott is the recipient of a Civil Litigation Certificate from The Advocates’ Society.

/ Scott Lennox
Scott Lennox is the real estate law practice group leader at Lemke Law PC. Scott has a vast background in commercial development and financing.Scott’s practice is focused on residential and commercial real estate law, as well as real estate litigation. His personable approach and knowledgeable insight allows clients to be confident that their matters will be handled in a timely and professional manner.
Prior to joining Lemke Law PC, Scott worked in-house with a large, highly regarded real estate development company. In this role, Scott regularly advised on large-scale complex mixed-use real estate projects in Ontario and Alberta.
Outside of his legal work, Scott also sits on the organizing committee for the Bay Street edition of Hockey Helps the Homeless, a pro-am hockey tournament to benefit homeless youth in the GTA.

/ Emma Chapple
Emma is an associate lawyer at Lemke Law PC, practising commercial and civil litigation.Emma is a 2019 graduate of Dalhousie Law School. At Dal, Emma completed an exchange program at Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles where she studied international entertainment and privacy law. She holds a journalism degree from St. Thomas University and uses her journalistic background to inform her legal practice. Prior to joining Lemke Law PC in 2020, Emma articled at a commercial law firm in Toronto.
Outside of the office, Emma sits on the communications board of the Women’s Law Association of Ontario and continues to hone her writing skills.

/ JAMES AYRES
Jim is special senior counsel that regularly practices in association with Lemke Law PC. Jim was called to the Ontario Bar in 1984 and is certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a Specialist in Municipal and Environmental Law.
Jim represents clients at court proceedings, including the Ontario Court of Appeal, Ontario Superior Court of Justice/Divisional Court and Ontario Court of Justice. He also appears regularly before municipal councils, tribunals and boards, including the Ontario Municipal Board.
Jim regularly advises corporate clients on environmental issues in commercial transactions with respect to the management of environmental risks, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, real property realizations and bankruptcies.
He also advises ratepayers, municipalities and councillors on causes of action by and against municipalities, including by-law powers, prosecutions, municipal liability, conflict of interest and municipal elections matters.
Jim articled with the Ministry of the Attorney General and practised with the Ministry for five years. He acted as counsel for the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and to the Niagara Escarpment Commission and was a Deputy Director of Titles for the Real Property Registration Branch of the Ministry of Consumer and Commercial Relations. Jim represented the Government of Ontario at Parts I and II of the Walkerton Inquiry. He has also been retained to represent the Government at Coroners Inquests.
In addition to his legal practice, Jim speaks frequently at seminars on environmental and municipal matters.

/ Dan Nelson*
Dan is an experienced estate lawyer, and expert at guiding people at all stages of life through the process of preparing wills, powers of attorney, and trusts. He also offers practical business advice to both experienced and new entrepreneurs, particularly those in the field of design.
Dan is a frequent lecturer and writer, with appearances on CBC TV, CBC Radio, Global News, CTV and Canadian AM, and expert quotes in the Washington Post, Canadian Business, and the Toronto Star. He’s also an adjudicator with the Conservation Review Board, and an active volunteer, with Scouts Canada, the Sharon Temple Museum Society, and Pickering College.

/ Jeffrey Kroeker*
Jeffrey is experienced and savvy in the fields of business law, commercial law, and estate litigation. He has years of experience advising ministers of state, government officials, ambassadors and corporate executives on a wide range of policy development, stakeholder relations, risk management, anti-corruption, and international policy issues.
He is a proud member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, the Advocate’s Society, and the Toronto Lawyer’s Association, alongside volunteer efforts on the board of directors of several worthy causes.

/ Jonathan Benarroch*
Before joining Civis Law LLP as an associate, Jonathan worked as an articling student at the firm, assisting with estate, trust, corporate and litigation matters. Jonathan earned his Juris Doctor degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2018. While at law school, Jonathan volunteered with a not-for-profit organization, assisting low-income individuals in need of legal services. Prior to law school, Jonathan earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree from York University and worked in his family’s business.
When not working, Jonathan spends his time with family and friends, volunteering for a diverse set of charitable causes, and watching and playing sports.
